Bio: Coach Weathers enters his first season at the helm of the Patriots. He takes over for 2007 Hall of Fame Nominee Art Slight, who retired after the 2006 season.
Weathers was a stand out performer for the University of Michigan where he captured a NCAA title in 1997. He was a two year starter at Michigan and was twice named All Big Ten as a Corner.
The New York Giants drafted him in 1999 with their 6th round pick, 209th over all. He started his opening game as a rookie for the Giants but eventually three ACL surgeries led to his early retirement. The Giants made an appearance in the Super Bowl while Weathers was on their roster.
He later took up coaching at Flint Central High School, where he is an Alumni. In his first season with FCHS, he helped them capture a City Title and improve their record by three wins from the previous season. They were only one game shy of a playoff appearance in his first season. He was a member of the 1993 11-1 Flint Central Football Team, which holds the record for most wins in a season for Flint School District High School teams.
Career Highlights: 2 Time All Big Ten - Corner - U of M, Drafted in the 6th round by the New York Giants.
